Invincible Season 4 Storyline
Season 4 picks up two weeks after the brutal events of the Season 3 finale, where Mark Grayson (Invincible) fully embraced a darker, more pragmatic approach to heroics.
The Viltrumite War: The central conflict of the season is the full-scale invasion of Earth by the Viltrum Empire. Mark, Omni-Man, Allen the Alien, and the Coalition of Planets must form a desperate alliance to stop the “Grand Regent.”
Thragg (Lee Pace): The most powerful Viltrumite in existence and the season’s “big bad.” He leads with absolute authority and zero mercy.
Dinosaurus (Matthew Rhys): A morally complex character who believes massive destruction is necessary for humanity’s long-term survival.
Universa (Danai Gurira): An alien energy-seeker who clashes with Mark and Eve while trying to save her own dying world.
Personal Stakes: The season explores Atom Eve’s pregnancy (a major plot point from the comics) and the complications it brings to her powers. Meanwhile, Mark’s younger brother Oliver is now a teenager and eager to prove himself on the front lines.
The “Hell” Arc: In a departure from the comics, Robert Kirkman has teased an original storyline for Season 4 involving Damien Darkblood and a journey into a supernatural “Hell” dimension.
