Kohrra Season 2 Web Series Storyline

The Case: A woman named Preet Bajwa (Pooja Bhamrrah) is found dead in her brother’s barn. The investigation quickly peels back the layers of a seemingly quiet community to reveal secrets involving domestic abuse, hidden pasts, and systemic silence.

The New Partnership: Amarpal Garundi (Barun Sobti) has been promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspector and transferred to a new station. He must now report to his new commanding officer, Dhanwant Kaur (Mona Singh).

Character Dynamics: The season highlights the contrast between Garundi’s instinct-driven, impulsive methods and Dhanwant’s calm, methodical, and restrained approach. Both characters are also battling their own “internal fog”—Garundi trying to escape his murky past and Dhanwant navigating personal loss.

Mona Singh’s Inclusion: Adding Mona Singh to the lead cast has generated huge buzz. She reportedly underwent intense workshops with female police officers in Punjab to capture the “restrained resolve” required for the role.

Sudip Sharma as Director: The visionary writer behind Paatal Lok and NH10 makes his directorial debut this season, promising the same “lived-in viscerality” and atmospheric tension that made Season 1 a masterpiece.

Rannvijay Singha’s Role: Rannvijay joins in a pivotal, serious role as the victim’s husband, moving away from his usual reality-show persona.

Themes: While Season 1 explored the “toxicity of love,” Season 2 is being described as a “relationship drama” masked as a procedural, focusing on how a community collectively hides a crime.
