Shrinking Season 3 Tv Series Storyline
Following the emotional Season 2 finale, “The Last Thanksgiving,” Season 3 explores the “messy” reality of moving on.
Jimmy (Jason Segel): After finally making peace with Louis (Brett Goldstein)—the man who caused the accident that killed his wife—Jimmy is attempting to imagine a future where he can be truly happy. This includes exploring a potential romance with Sofi (Cobie Smulders).
Paul (Harrison Ford): Having admitted to his “village” that his Parkinson’s is progressing, Paul must grapple with the loss of his independence. Season 3 will see him leaning on his loved ones more than ever while continuing his relationship with Julie (Wendie Malick).
Alice (Lukita Maxwell): The youngest Russo is entering a massive life transition as she heads off to college, forcing Jimmy to adjust to an “empty-ish” nest.
The Rest of the “Found Family”: Gaby (Jessica Williams) deals with her own career and personal growth; Brian and Charlie prepare for the arrival of their new baby; and Liz (Christa Miller) settles into her new role as their part-time nanny.
