Single Papa S1 Storyline
The story follows Gaurav “GG” Gehlot (Kunal Kemmu), a 30-year-old carefree man living in a palatial house in Gurugram. GG is a classic “man-child” who still relies on his parents for his daily needs and pocket money. His life hits a crossroads when his wife, Aparna (Isha Talwar), divorces him, citing his immaturity and lack of responsibility as the primary reason.
Six months after the divorce, GG finds an abandoned baby boy in the backseat of his car. While his chaotic and boisterous Jaat family—led by his father (Manoj Pahwa) and mother (Ayesha Raza Mishra)—is initially horrified, GG feels an instant connection and names the baby Amul.
The “conundrum” begins when GG decides to legally adopt Amul to prove he can grow up. He faces his biggest hurdle in Romila Nehra (Neha Dhupia), a strict adoption officer who views GG as the most unfit parent imaginable. The series follows GG’s hilarious yet emotional transformation as he fumbles through diaper changes and sleepless nights while battling social prejudices to earn the right to be called a father.
