The Housemaid Movie 2025 Storyline
The story follows Millie Calloway (Sydney Sweeney), a young woman who is struggling to rebuild her life after being released from prison on parole. Desperate for a job and a place to stay, she lies about her background to secure a position as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Winchester family in Long Island.
Initially, the job seems like a dream come true. However, Millie soon realizes that the Winchesters’ perfect life is a façade. Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfried) appears to be mentally unstable and begins to torment Millie with erratic behavior and impossible demands. Meanwhile, Nina’s husband, Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), seems like the perfect, supportive husband, and Millie finds herself increasingly drawn to him.
The tension escalates when Millie discovers that her attic bedroom door only locks from the outside and the window is sealed shut. As secrets about Nina’s past and Andrew’s true nature surface, Millie realizes she has walked into a dangerous trap where she might not be the only one with a dark secret.
